There are 2 kilometres of walking trails at this park. A half kilometre trail leads from the parking lot at the day-use area to the fish ladder. A lookout above the fish ladder has great views of the river and spawning salmon in the autumn. Signs at this point offer information about the fish spawning cycle. The trails continue through the forest. There is also a loop trail that overlooks the river.

Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings provided that a fire ban is not in effect. Firewood is available for purchase in the park. To preserve vegetation and ground cover, please do not gather firewood from the area around your campsite or elsewhere in the park (this is a ticketable offence under the Park Act). Dead wood is an important habitat element for many plants and animals and it adds organic matter to the soil.
